**Job Description****UW Medical Center–Harborview** has an outstanding opportunity for an **Assistant Nurse Manager/RN3** to join us in our **Operating Room.****WORK SCHEDULE:*** Full time* Regular* 40 hours/week**POSITION HIGHLIGHTS*** Assists with RN3 operational and leadership duties as applicable* Collaborates closely with the Nurse Manager, and Assistant Nurse Manager / RN3 peers* Close to public transportation* Make a difference in patients and employees we serve**DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION** Provides professional nursing care while supporting daily operations and team leadership within the unit. Serves as a clinical resource, supports staff development, and partners with the Nurse Manager to maintain safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.**PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*** Deliver safe, high-quality patient care (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)* Coordinate care across departments to ensure optimal patient outcomes* Serve as a clinical resource and role model for nursing staff* Support staff education, onboarding, and ongoing competency development* Assist with daily operations, including patient flow and staffing coordination* Promote effective communication among patients, families, and care team* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain standards of care* Provide guidance, feedback, and support to team members* Serve as charge nurse as assigned and participate in committees as needed* Assist with unit goals, program development, and process improvements**REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS*** Current Washington State Registered Nurse license or valid Multistate license.* Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN),* Minimum of two years of professional surgical nursing experience or equivalent education/experience.* Demonstrated experience as an Operating Room registered nurse, with proficiency in perioperative nursing practiceTo learn more visit **ABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER** As the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine.
