Job Description
Assist the Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of the distribution center, including planning and supervising the day-to-day activities of the warehouse staff and work closely with other departments related to inventory, audit, customer service and compliance. Ensure that inventory levels are maintained at optimal levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory and associated costs. Manage the receiving and shipping of products, ensuring that all products are received and shipped in accordance with established procedures and timelines.
Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, such as productivity, picking accuracy, and on-time delivery, take appropriate actions to improve performance as needed. Ensure that all equipment and machinery are well-maintained and in good working order, coordinating repairs and maintenance activities as necessary.Together with the Operations Manager to revise, develop and or implement new standard operating procedures to drive process improvement, efficiency, reduce cost and enhance customer satisfaction.Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements related to the distribution of pharmaceutical and medical device products. Conduct training to warehouse employees on operational procedures.Ensure warehouse employees are adhering to established safety guidelines.
Education and experienceTertiary education.Min 3 years of experience in similar capacity, preferably in the distribution of pharmaceutical and medical device products.Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to provide coaching.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical skills. Dissecting and analyzing complex data.Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices related to the distribution of pharmaceutical and medical device products.Familiar with warehouse management systems and other relevant software applications.Ability to manage multiple priorities.
