Job Description
Responsible for solution development, competitive costing, commercial proposition integration and business case alignment of International Data Services solutions supporting client business and requirements. Confidently articulates all aspects of solution and persuasively communicates value to the client. Influences client evaluation criteria and decision making.
Works individually, in teams or as leader, to determine customer requirements in complex and often ambiguous outsourced environments. Interacts effectively with team, pursuit leaders, internal governance and business leadership to advance sales efforts.
Key Objective / Purpose of Job:Conduct product presentation and demonstration to prospect customersProvide assistance and work hand in hand with sales team and solution partners in articulating solutions to customers and providing solution support to the sales teamMust be able to gather technical requirements, understand customers problems and devise creative solutions and ensure that the deal is deliverable and supportable with our approved process.Review RFx requirements, provide compliances and write solution proposalWork closely with solution partners to find suitable products and form strategic relationships
Major Activities:Respond to requests made by sales teams for solutioning for requirementsGather in depth networking requirement to architect and design a suitable highly available, secure and scalable solution to meet client requirementPrepare and propose technical solution for customers, including overseeing the selection of technologies to develop the proposed solutions, developing accurate and optimised bill of materials, proposal writing, presentation and conduct proof-of-concept to showcase its technical feasibilityParticipate alongside sales and solutions teams in sales meeting and workshops for customers.Articulate alternatives in terms of cost, benefit and risk where multiple solutions existHighlight the positive impact of the solutions and it how it can achieve customer’s business goalsManage customer relationship by communicating architecture standards and frameworks; answering questions; resolving concerns and issues
Required Qualifications:Degree in Engineering or IT related field with at least 5 years of IT Presales or Solutioning experience in Networking solutions in the Telecommunications or IT IndustryAdditional technical qualifications include hands-on experience in several of the following products or technologies are preferred: IEPL/ IPLC Submarine cable routes/ IPT / POP Network solution diagram
Requisite Skills:1) Soft SkillsUnderstand the Telecom Sales processes marketAbility to negotiate on commercial terms and pricing.Be customer service focus.
