Aviation Finance Senior Associate

The Singapore office of a premier international law firm seeks a Senior Associate (6-12 PQE) with experience in Aviation Finance to join their practice. This is a partnership track position and provides a substantial opportunity to grow and develop a practice as part of a top tier firm.

Key ResponsibilitiesHandle all aspects of cross-border aviation finance transactions, including asset-backed securitisations, sale-and-leasebacks, and tax-structured leases.Advise on compliance, creditor rights protection during repossession, and emerging regulatory requirements.Structure, draft, review, and negotiate documentation for multi-jurisdictional deals.Provide strategic regulatory and compliance advice, including on environmental, registration and insurance matters.

RequirementsSingapore qualified lawyer with 6+ years PQE in aviation finance transactions.Experience in cross-border transactions.Practical experience with aviation financing structures and issues.Demonstrated drafting and negotiation skills.Ability to take the lead on projects in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple strategic and legal considerations.Up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and regulation worldwide.

Preferred AttributesQualification in the US, UK or other Common Law jurisdiction, or qualification in an additional Asian jurisdiction.Dispute resolution or bankruptcy experience.Strong interpersonal skills; experience leading a team.Business development and client relationship management experience.
