The Role

Our client is seeking an AVP – Finance in the Banking division.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a global team, providing top-tier service to existing and prospective clients while expanding the business on a product and global level.

Job Description:

Strategic:

Provide information to stakeholders which allows sound decision making.

Financial:

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for the branch. Monitoring Internal Controls Supporting Accounts Payables Supporting FPA (including budgets & variance analysis) Preparing & publishing timely financial statements (as per IFRS). Reporting to IFSCA, SEZ and related compliances Head Office JGAAP / USGAAP reporting.

Support Tax related reporting; compliance and filings Handling the Statutory / Tax audit / Certifications Support new product assessment & rollout.

Customer:

Provide information & resolve queries of internal & external stakeholders on a timely basis. Be a trusted advisor by providing thoughtful insights to internal & external customers.

People:

Connect beyond the Financial Management team & build relationships to work as One team.

Qualifications & Experience:

• CA or CFA required.
• Banking industry experience is mandatory.
• Experience working within the Indian regulatory environment preferred.
• Comfortable with offshore accounting/reporting, but strong exposure to India onshore processes is desirable.
• IBU (IFSC Banking Unit) background highly valuable due to familiarity with IFSCA regulatory reporting.

Must‑Have Skills:

• Strong financial reporting expertise.
• Solid understanding of Balance Sheet and P&L.
• Hands‑on regulatory reporting experience (preferably IFSCA).
• Strong internal reporting skills for senior stakeholders.
• Core accounting knowledge.
