Job DescriptionJob DescriptionCloud Infrastructure Architect (Azure / VMware)First Century Bank, N.A.First Century Bank is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architect to lead the design and operation of our hybrid cloud and datacenter environment. This is a hands-on architecture role combining technical leadership with direct engineering responsibility in a production environment.You will play a critical role in advancing the Bank's cloud strategy and ensuring secure, resilient, and high-performing infrastructure supporting core banking and fintech platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and manage hybrid cloud architecture across Microsoft Azure, VMware (vSphere/ESXi), on-premises infrastructure, and datacenter.Lead cloud adoption, system modernization, and infrastructure transformation initiativesArchitect and support Azure Site Recovery (ASR) for disaster recovery and business continuityAdminister and optimize VMware vSphere / ESXi environments, including clustering, performance tuning, and lifecycle managementOversee virtual machine lifecycle management (provisioning, patching, optimization, decommissioning)Manage backup and recovery solutions using Veeam, including replication, restore testing, and retention strategiesDevelop and maintain PowerShell automation to improve efficiency, consistency, and operational standardsMonitor system performance, availability, and capacity; proactively identify and resolve risks and issuesPartner with Information Security, Audit, and business teams to ensure compliance and alignment with regulatory requirementsMaintain documentation, architecture diagrams, and disaster recovery runbooks.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems architecture, or cloud architecture5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and experience supporting VMware (vSphere/ESXi) environments, including design, deployment, and operations.Strong experience with enterprise infrastructure, including virtualization, storage, and datacenter environmentsStrong understanding of infrastructure resiliency, backup/recovery, monitoring, and patch managementProven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and performance issuesPreferred QualificationsExperience in financial services, banking, or other regulated environments4+ years of experience with PowerShell scripting and automationExperience with Azure governance, identity, monitoring, and cost optimizationExperience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates)Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and enterprise networking conceptsExperience with cloud migration and hybrid connectivity designFirst Century Bank is an equal opportunity employer.
