Project description Customer is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (Java, Spring Boot, AWS)ї Responsibilities Design and develop robust, scalable RESTful services using Java and Spring Boot Implement microservices-based systems deployed on AWS (EKS / Lambda) Develop and maintain event-driven architectures using Kafka, MQ, or enterprise messaging systems (EMS) Integrate and optimize AWS services including S3, SQS, SNS, Textract, DynamoDB, and DocumentDB Build and support document processing pipelines involving PDFs, images, and OCR workflows Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Harness, ensuring secure, reliable, and automated deployments Ensure system reliability through observability, monitoring, and operational excellence practices Collaborate with security and platform teams to address SAST findings and vulnerability remediation (e.g., Wiz, Veracode) Contribute to engineering standards, design reviews, and mentoring initiatives Mandatory skills Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot ecosystem Proven experience with AWS cloud-native architectures (EKS, Lambda, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS) Deep understanding of microservices and distributed system design Strong experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka / MQ / EMS or equivalent) Proficiency with NoSQL databases, including DynamoDB, MongoDB, or DocumentDB Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Harness Strong grounding in system design, scalability, and performance engineering Experience working in large-scale production environments with real-world data systems Familiarity with secure software development practices and vulnerability remediation workflows Nice to have skills Experience with AWS Textract or document AI / OCR-based systems Exposure to Kubernetes (EKS) in production environments Experience with Python Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) or AI integrations (e.g., OpenAI APIs) Experience with performance and load testing frameworks (k6, JMeter) Strong understanding of secure SDLC practices and enterprise security tooling
