Role OverviewWe are looking for a Behavioral Scientist / Consumer Insights Researcher who is passionate about understanding why consumers behave the way they do.This role sits at the intersection of behavioral science, market research, and data-driven strategy, and will play a key role in shaping product, marketing, and customer experience decisions through deep consumer insights.
Key ResponsibilitiesBehavioral Research & Consumer StudiesDesign and execute qualitative and quantitative research to understand consumer motivations, attitudes, and decision-making patternsApply behavioral science frameworks (e.g., cognitive biases, heuristics, nudge theory)Conduct in-depth interviews (IDIs), focus groups (FGDs), ethnographic and observational researchDevelop customer journey maps and behavioral flow analysesSurvey Design & Quantitative InsightsDesign structured surveys and experimental studies (A/B testing, conjoint analysis, etc.)Manage end-to-end research lifecycle: design data collection analysis insightsApply statistical techniques such as regression, factor analysis, clustering, etc.Consumer Segmentation & ProfilingBuild behavioral and psychographic consumer segmentsCreate data-backed personas to guide product and marketing strategiesTrack evolving user behavior and update segmentation modelsInsight Communication & Stakeholder ManagementTranslate research findings into actionable insights and business recommendationsCreate compelling reports and presentations for stakeholdersCollaborate with product, marketing, UX, and strategy teamsResearch Operations & Vendor ManagementWork with external research vendors and ensure data qualityMaintain research repositories and knowledge systemsEnsure adherence to research best practicesTrend Intelligence & Competitive ResearchTrack consumer trends and behavioral shifts in the marketLeverage secondary research, reports, and industry insights Key Skills & CompetenciesCore SkillsStrong foundation in Behavioral Science / Consumer PsychologyExpertise in qualitative & quantitative research methodologiesExperience with tools like SPSS / R / Python (preferred)Familiarity with survey platforms (Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, etc.)Ability to translate behavioral insights into business impactStrong storytelling and stakeholder communication skillsGood to HaveExposure to UX research / usability testing / design thinkingKnowledge of behavioral economics / nudges / decision scienceExperience with Power BI / TableauUnderstanding of CX metrics (NPS, CSAT, CES)Experience in BFSI / fintech / consumer tech Education & ExperienceBachelor's or Master's degree in:Psychology / Behavioral ScienceSociology / AnthropologyMarket Research / Consumer BehaviorMBA (Marketing / Strategy)Data Science (with behavioral focus)2-5 years of experience in behavioral research, consumer insights, or market researchExperience in BFSI / FMCG / Consumer Tech environments preferred Ideal CandidateDeep curiosity about human behavior and decision-makingStrong balance of data + storytellingExperience translating research into real business impactComfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environmentDetail-oriented and capable of managing multiple research projects Interested?If you're passionate about decoding consumer behavior and shaping meaningful product experiences, we'd love to connect.
