Role: Brand Partnerships Director
Location: London (Hybrid)
About the Role
We are looking for an exceptional Brand Partnerships Director to spearhead sponsorship and partnerships across our expanding slate of premium social and digital IP, including YouTube-first Shows and Podcasts, to advertisers and media agencies. This is a senior role at the heart of a fast-growing sports and entertainment media business, operating at the centre of premium digital content and monetisation.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Generation & Pipeline Management
- Own and drive brand partnership and sponsorship revenues across the company's full slate of partners and content properties
- Build and maintain a robust commercial pipeline, forecasting accurately and reporting performance to the leadership team
- Identify and develop new revenue streams, including content integration packages, co-produced branded series, podcast sponsorships and digital media buys
- Set and achieve ambitious revenue targets, contributing to the company's overall commercial strategy
Agency & Advertiser Relationships
- Leverage and continually grow an extensive network of UK media agency contacts across planning, investment and partnerships team
- Proactively source, respond to and win partnership briefs from media and sponsorship agencies as well as client direct
- Represent the company at industry events, upfronts, screenings and networking forums to build market presence and generate inbound interest
- Maintain senior relationships across holding groups and independent agencies, becoming a trusted commercial partner for sports-adjacent media investment
Pitch Development & Sales Collateral
- Lead the creation of compelling, insight-driven pitch materials that articulate the value of our content slate, audiences and advertising formats
- Build detailed media plans and sponsorship proposals, translating client briefs into bespoke commercial packages
- Work collaboratively with teams and partners across the group to build and represent commercial propositions including detailed proposals and media plans
- Continuously refine and improve the company's commercial narrative, positioning and go-to-market messaging
Client Management & Campaign Delivery
- Act as the senior point of contact for brand partners from deal close through to campaign delivery and post-campaign reporting
- Manage client expectations with professionalism and transparency, ensuring all partnerships deliver against agreed KPIs
- Identify upsell and renewal opportunities within the existing client base, building long-term commercial relationships
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with production and content teams to ensure partnership deliverables are achievable, creatively strong and commercially sound
- Partner with the sales function to align on market positioning, pricing strategy and go-to-market priorities
- Collaborate with platform and analytics teams to ensure robust measurement frameworks are in place for all brand partnerships
- Input into product development, helping to shape new commercial formats and inventory types based on market demand
What we're looking for
- Proven track record in brand partnerships, media sales, sponsorship or commercial development, ideally within digital media, sports media or a premium publisher environment
- Demonstrable experience closing six and seven-figure partnership deals
- Active network of UK media agency contacts at planning, investment and partnerships director level across major holding groups
- Deep understanding of the digital media landscape, including YouTube, podcast monetisation, programmatic advertising, branded content and paid social
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to build media plans around media both within in and around premium, multi-platform content packages
- Exceptional pitch and presentation skills, confident, persuasive and articulate in front of senior agency and brand stakeholders
- A good understanding of social platform content distribution and revenue mechanisms including platform monetisation programmes and partnerships
