Role: Business Analyst – Trade Finance
Experience 8+ years
Location: Chennai / Bangalore
Job Type: Contract to hire
Notice Period: 0- 30 days
Job Description:
Required Technical Skill Set:
- Strong understanding of trade finance products including Letters of Credit (LCs), Bank Guarantees, Collections, and Supply Chain Finance (SCF)
- Experience working as a Business Analyst in BFSI / Banking domain
- Ability to prepare BRDs, FRDs, process flows, and user stories
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Expertise in solution design, process mapping, and impact analysis
- Knowledge of trade finance platforms such as Finastra, Intellect, Trade Innovation, Surecomp
- Understanding of trade compliance regulations including UCP 600, ISBP, URDG, ICC rules, AML/KYC
Responsibilities / Expectations from the Role:
- Gather and analyze business requirements related to trade finance products and processes
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into functional specifications
- Prepare detailed documentation including BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process flows
- Perform impact analysis for system enhancements and regulatory changes
- Ensure solutions comply with regulatory standards and trade finance guidelines
- Collaborate with development and testing teams to ensure accurate implementation
- Support UAT and ensure successful delivery of business requirements
- Act as a liaison between business users and technology teams
Must-Have:
- Strong domain expertise in trade finance
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in banking domain
- Excellent documentation and analytical skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
- Good understanding of regulatory compliance in trade finance
Good-to-Have:
- Experience working with trade finance systems such as Finastra, Intellect, Surecomp
- Exposure to regulatory and compliance-driven projects
