Business Consultant

The IT Business Consultant monitors and measures performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of IT resources and drives performance optimization through process improvement initiatives.

This role involves varied assignments that require interpretation, analytical thinking, and independent decision-making.

The consultant develops measures and targets to assess IT functions, services, projects, and improvement initiatives, creating scorecards and dashboards to evaluate performance across IT-related areas such as network performance, application performance management (APM), systems performance (physical, virtual, or cloud), and business transaction performance.

The role requires understanding organizational strategies, operating objectives, and their connections across departments.

It involves working within established guidelines while exercising autonomy when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and measure IT performance metrics to assess and enhance IT resource efficiency.
• Develop and maintain performance measures, targets, balanced scorecards, and dashboards.
• Analyze performance data related to IT functions, services, projects, and improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate and monitor performance across areas such as network performance, APM, system performance (physical, virtual, or cloud), and business transaction performance.
• Contribute to process improvement activities to optimize IT operations.
• Apply understanding of organizational and departmental strategies to support performance initiatives.
• Exercise independent judgment in determining appropriate actions while following established procedures.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of technical experience.
• Experience in project management and requirements gathering.
• Experience in problem analysis and process documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong commitment to contributing to an organization focused on continuous improvement and consumer experience enhancement.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical experience.
• Knowledge of SQL.
• Experience analyzing and presenting complex data.
• Strong analytical skills with creative problem-solving abilities.
