Business Development Director (Environmental)

We’re working with a rapidly growing general contractor in California that is expanding its environmental construction division. They are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to lead growth across environmental remediation and related project markets.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving strategic growth, building key client relationships, and leading a team of 5 Business Development Managers. You will play a critical role in shaping and executing the company’s go-to-market strategy, identifying high-value opportunities, and positioning the firm as a leader in environmental and remediation projects.

Key responsibilities include developing and executing business development strategy, overseeing major pursuits and proposals, cultivating relationships with public and private sector clients, and collaborating closely with operations, estimating, and executive leadership. You will also mentor and manage the BD team, ensuring a strong and consistent pipeline aligned with company growth targets.

The ideal candidate will have 10–15+ years of experience in business development within environmental construction, with a strong background in remediation projects such as soil and groundwater remediation, site cleanup, and environmental restoration. Proven experience leading teams and driving revenue growth is essential.

Compensation:

$150,000 – $200,000 base salary + bonus + full benefits package
