Job Description
Position Summary
Lead the North Hollywood Business Unit of the Fluid Systems Division, managing Profit & Loss, developing manufacturing operations, driving Lean initiatives, and engaging with customers and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Profitably grow the business unit consistently and annually.
- Promote and leverage company technologies, systems, products and services to current and potential customers.
- Establish and maintain premier customer service, leading by example.
- Lead strategy deployment for the business unit, focusing on Lean initiatives, strategic pricing, and strategic procurement.
- Drive operational efficiency by overseeing functions including manufacturing, engineering, IT, HR, lean accounting, planning, sales/marketing and new product development.
- Drive Lean initiatives, procurement and pricing across the operation.
- Develop a budget plan and manage the business unit within budget constraints.
- Maintain familiarity with competitive environment within geographic area of responsibility.
- Represent the operation at the business unit and division levels.
- Promote team concepts, coaching, mentoring, training, talent management and individual development; drive a culture of accountability and results.
- Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations; promote the business unit in industry and community.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline.
- Ten or more years of related leadership experience in a heavy engineering manufacturing environment; aerospace industry experience required.
- Excellent knowledge of management and marketing principles, industry practices, company and competitor products, technology, and service capabilities.
- Knowledge of business and operational processes, proposal development, contract negotiations, and program management; international budgeting and acquisition processes knowledge may be required.
- Proven ability to lead people and obtain results through others, gained over ten years of increasing responsibility.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem‑solving and team focus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to present to top management, customers, and employees.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $178,400 to $312,100 annually.
- Participation in annual and long‑term incentive programs.
