Intermediate CAD Designer
What you will do:
- Provide 3D annotation (MBD – Model-Based Definition) support for New Product Development across diverse automotive and non-automotive projects.
- Independently create and revise CAD models and drawings for a broad range of manufacturing processes, including die casting, injection molding, stamping, and machining.
- Collaborate flexibly to provide CAD support to Product Application, Product Platform Development, and Aftermarket Engineering teams, ensuring timely delivery and meeting project deadlines.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in SolidWorks as the primary CAD tool.
- Generate automotive customer drawings and models in compliance with required standards and formats (e.g., NX, CATIA, or Creo), using customer-preferred data exchange systems (e.g., Teamcenter).
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and workmanship, ensuring outputs align with company policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Embrace continuous learning by adapting to new systems, technologies, and processes as we evolve into a Model-Based Enterprise.
- Contribute to best practice development, including the use of AI tools and problem-solving within CAD and MBD domains.

What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Engineering, Applied Science, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Experience with NX, CATIA, or Creo is an asset.
- Experience with PDM or PLM systems is an asset.
- CSWP (Certified SolidWorks Professional – Mechanical Design) certification is an asset.
- Experience in mechanical product design and development, including applied GD&T.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Effective prioritization and time management abilities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Additional Information:
- Compensation: $70,000 to $80,000 annually.
