We are seeking a skilled, reliable Chef de Partie / Line Cook to support high-level prep and service execution in a focused Japanese fine-dining environment. This role offers a clear growth path and hands-on training toward greater tempura station responsibilities over time.

Pay: $18–$24/hour (DOE)

Experience: 2+ years preferred (flexible depending on skill)
- Own and execute assigned station responsibilities with consistency and speed
- Lead prep + plating for zensai (appetizers) and support sashimi prep/plating
- Oversee mise en place, organization, labeling, and food safety standards
- Support tempura station with seafood/vegetable prep, portioning, and service flow
- Maintain a clean, efficient workspace and support teammates during service
- Open/close duties as assigned
- Strong familiarity with Japanese cuisine (washoku, sushi, kaiseki, tempura)
- Fine-dining experience and strong station ownership
- Excellent knife skills (seafood and vegetables)
- Calm, professional communication during service
- 2+ years restaurant kitchen experience preferred
- Strong fundamentals in cooking techniques and food preparation
- Team-oriented, detail-driven, and reliable under pressure
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
