Job Description
The Chief Information Officer will serve as the global corporate technology leader for tms. This role will be accountable for the reliability, security, scalability, and day‑to‑day performance of tms’s global technology environment across North America, Europe, and Asia. It will lead a globally distributed organization responsible for IT infrastructure and operations, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, technology vendor management, and technology PMO governance.
The Corporate Technology Officer will ensure that the corporate technology platforms, services, and processes are scalable, resilient, audit‑ready, and aligned with the needs of the business and its clients across regions and functions.
This leader will partner closely with Finance, regional business leaders, and other corporate functions to ensure technology operations effectively support growth, compliance, and workforce productivity. Additionally, the role will work in close collaboration with Morgan Street Holdings, our parent company and strategic partner, enabling tms’s growth while ensuring alignment across the broader portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Deep understanding, successful deployment and proven scaling of new digital technologies and ERP platforms / digital transformation in a fast‑paced, growth environment.
- A proven track record of setting and executing enterprise technology vision with an innovative approach across infrastructure, operations, and corporate systems in a global organization.
- The ability to translate business strategy into a corporate technology agenda that drives efficiency, scalability, and growth.
- Comfort balancing short‑term operational demands with long‑term modernization, as well as communicating both clearly to executive stakeholders.
- Financial management (capex and opex budget planning) with allocation and/or chargeback models.
- Provide leadership and strategy for AI from a corporate technology and security perspective in partnership with Innovation Team.
- Provides leadership and support to global infrastructure and IT operations teams, leveraging deep expertise across both cloud and on‑premises environments for end‑user services.
- Experience owning and evolving ERP platforms, governing implementation, optimization, and day‑to‑day stability.
- A proven track record leading teams responsible for HR Information systems for a global enterprise.
- Lead the enterprise cybersecurity organization, including security operations, engineering, governance, and risk management.
- Define and execute the enterprise security strategy aligned to business and technology priorities. Follow corporate governance standards.
- Serve as senior security contact for key customers and partners on data protection and cybersecurity posture.
- Be able to participate in customer security reviews, due diligence, and risk assessments.
- Experience building and running a technology VMO and PMO, including governance frameworks, SLAs, KPIs, and performance accountability.
- Confidence managing complex vendor ecosystems and managed service providers to deliver cost‑effective results.
- A history of establishing IT governance, audit readiness, and compliance controls across a global footprint.
- A history of building, developing, and retaining high‑performing global teams with a culture of accountability.
- Skill at influencing and partnering across Finance, Operations, HR, Legal, and regional business leaders.
- Comfort navigating a parent company or holding company structure, including shared services and strategic alignment.
Required Experience & Skills
- 15+ years of progressive IT leadership, with 5+ years in leadership roles in a global technology organization.
- An exceptional communicator who can translate complex technical concepts clearly for non‑technical stakeholders, including at the most senior levels of the organization.
- Skilled at managing and holding accountable complex third‑party vendors and managed service providers.
- Deep understanding of IT Infrastructure, security operations, risk management, audit readiness, and business continuity planning.
- Demonstrated experience spanning the full corporate technology spectrum (e.g. JDE, SuccessFactors, ServiceNow, M365, etc.).
- Strong command of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Experience leading ITSM programs including service desk, incident, problem, and change management.
- Proven ability to build and mature technology VMO and PMO functions with clear governance and performance management disciplines.
- Experience within a private equity‑backed or holding company environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field required.
Compensation
Starting salary between $275,000 to 310,000.
