Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Chinese Language Teacher to deliver engaging and effective Chinese lessons for preschool and primary-level students. The successful candidate will play a key role in nurturing students’ confidence in speaking, reading, and writing Chinese, while fostering a genuine love for the language and culture. This role involves close collaboration with parents and centre management to ensure a high-quality, student-centred learning experience in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities Teaching & Learning Conduct engaging and interactive Chinese lessons for preschool and primary-level students based on centre curriculum Deliver lessons that build students’ speaking, reading, and writing confidence while cultivating love for the Chinese language Prepare lesson materials, teaching aids, and assessments; maintain accurate student progress records Differentiate teaching according to student ability and learning style Participate in curriculum development, internal training, and academic research to improve teaching quality Student & Parent Engagement Provide constructive feedback and regular progress updates to parents Support centre events such as trial classes, performances, and open houses Create a positive and inspiring classroom atmosphere that motivates students to express themselves confidently Team Collaboration Work closely with other teachers and the centre management to maintain consistency and quality in teaching delivery. Contribute ideas to curriculum enhancement, activity planning, and internal meetings. Requirements Degree in Chinese Language, Education, Linguistics, or related field At least 2–3 years of relevant teaching experience in enrichment, tuition, or MOE school settings Familiar with Singapore MOE Chinese syllabus and PSLE exam requirements Passionate about teaching and enjoys working with children Bilingual in Chinese and English for effective communication with parents and colleagues Energetic, patient, and responsible; able to manage class dynamics confidently Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Required to work on weekends; weekday off-days provided
