OverviewNavteca is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise cloud solutions. This role is responsible for defining and driving cloud architecture strategies, standards, and best practices across the organization.The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud platforms and service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, development teams, and infrastructure groups to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud-based solutions aligned with enterprise objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement enterprise cloud architectures aligned with organizational strategy and standardsDevelop and enforce cloud architecture frameworks, policies, and best practicesCollaborate with business owners, analysts, developers, and infrastructure teams to define application and data architectureLead cloud adoption strategies and modernization initiativesArchitect scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions across multiple platformsGuide development teams in building cloud-native and hybrid applicationsImplement and integrate solutions across major Cloud Service Providers (CSPs)Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation strategiesEnsure all solutions comply with Fairfax County standards and requirementsSupport CI/CD pipeline implementation and DevOps best practicesProvide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teamsRequired Skills & TechnologiesCloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Cloud Models: IaaS, PaaS, SaaSContainerization: KubernetesOperating Systems: Linux (Ubuntu or similar)Programming/Scripting: .NET, PHP, Bash, PowerShellDevOps & Tools: Git, CI/CD pipelinesInfrastructure as Code: Terraform, AnsibleExperience integrating applications with cloud-native services and APIsQualifications7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, engineering, or related rolesProven experience designing enterprise-scale cloud solutionsStrong understanding of multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environmentsExperience implementing secure and compliant cloud architecturesAbility to align technical solutions with business needsStrong leadership, communication, and collaboration skillsExperience working in government or regulated environments is a plusWork Location & ScheduleOn-site or hybrid depending on contract requirementsPrimary location: Fairfax County Government Center
