Cloud Security Architect (AWS & Azure)

APPIT Software Solutions is hiring a Cloud Security Architect (AWS & Azure) in San Francisco, USA. Design and implement enterprise-grade cloud security architectures across AWS and Azure, driving zero-trust adoption and compliance for APPIT Software Solutions in San Francisco.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud security architectures for multi-cloud environments spanning AWS and Azure
• Define and enforce cloud security policies, guardrails, and landing zone configurations using Infrastructure as Code
• Lead cloud security posture management (CSPM) initiatives and remediate misconfigurations at scale
• Architect identity federation, least-privilege access models, and zero-trust network segmentation for cloud workloads
• Evaluate and integrate cloud-native security services (AWS GuardDuty, Security Hub, Azure Defender, Sentinel)
• Provide technical leadership during security incidents involving cloud infrastructure and advise executive stakeholders

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in cloud security or security architecture with deep AWS and Azure expertise
• Professional cloud security certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, CCSP, or AZ-500
• Expert knowledge of cloud IAM, VPC networking, encryption services, and key management systems
• Experience designing security for containerized workloads (EKS, AKS) and serverless architectures
• Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53) in cloud contexts
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into secure, scalable cloud architecture designs

Nice to Have

• Experience with Terraform or Pulumi for security-as-code implementations
• Background in securing multi-tenant SaaS platforms
• Knowledge of eBPF-based runtime security tools
