Position Overview\n

SIMS is hiring a CNC Machinist / Programmer to join our growing team in Clarksville. In this hands-on role, you’ll program, set up, and operate multi-axis mills, lathes, and Swiss machines while leading a small team of skilled machinists.

\n

You’ll work with Haas, Doosan, and Fanuc-controlled equipment, using Mastercam to create programs for complex, high-precision parts.

\n

⚙️ Key Responsibilities\n

\nProgram, set up, and operate multi-axis CNC mills and lathes\nCreate and optimize Mastercam programs for both prototype and production runs\nSupervise and train setup personnel and operators\nInterpret blueprints, models, and GD&T requirements with precision\nTroubleshoot setups, tooling, and machining issues\nMaintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area\n\n

Machines & Software\n

\nHaas, Doosan, Fanuc-based CNC machines\nTwin Spindle / Twin Turret lathes\nHorizontal Machining Centers\nSwiss CNC machines – STAR or CITIZEN preferred\nMastercam (required), experience with other CAM systems a plus\n\n

✅ Qualifications\n

\n5+ years of CNC machining and programming experience\nProficient with Mastercam for multi-axis programming\nExperience leading small teams or mentoring other machinists\nStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability\nDetail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety\nWillingness to work overtime or weekends as needed\n\n
