Role: Consultant / Sr Consultant – Lean (Full Time / Contract)

The Opportunity: Lean Consultant or Sr Consultant (Full Time / Contract)

This is a position of significant responsibility with BMGI. As part of this role, you will be working with BMGI clients to solve business problems and deliver & exceed targeted business results. This is primarily through Lean programs where you will own responsibility for specific organizational challenges that require hands-on action.

The selected candidate would independently lead or be a part of a larger consulting team working closely with clients.

The role will involve using BMGI’s world-class processes and proven methodologies such as Lean, Process Management, TPM, 5S, Visual Management, DWM (Daily Work Management) / TMS (Tiered Management System), A3 Thinking etc.

Typical interventions that you may lead as part of the delivery process include – driving top-line and bottom-line improvements, manpower optimisation (Process Transformation, Time & Motion / DILO studies), improvement project mentoring, leading improvement projects like changeover time reduction, defect / error reduction, providing effective & efficient solutions and training teams on improvement tools and methods.

The job also requires managing change to ensure successful implementation of solutions, engaging with client leadership / teams and presenting to Leadership.

The Right Profile:

BMGI is looking for candidates who want to be recognized for the difference they make to the clients and helping BMGI maintain its flagship position as World Leaders in Delivering Results.

The right candidates would have experience of 7-10 years (Consultant) or 11-14 years (Sr. Consultant) with 5-10 years in either Lean consulting or in leading multiple improvement projects in manufacturing organizations. Candidates with experience in both manufacturing and service industries would be preferred.

The candidate should be experienced in driving tangible results which has directly impacted the P&L of the company or led to significant transformation in the business. You should be capable of managing change on-site, engaging with Senior Leadership, lead workshops, conduct training & facilitate teams and have strong project management capability.

Knowledge on a variety of problem solving / analytical tools is required. Candidates are expected to have a strong results orientation, ability to work with tight deadlines, good written/oral communication skills and excellent MS Office skills. Experience with Process Management and/or Manpower Optimisation, TPM and/or Statistical / Data Analysis would be an added advantage.

Engineering Graduates (BE/B.Tech) and Engineering / Management Post Graduates (MS / M.Tech / MBA) would be preferred.

Role Type:

We are open for both Full Time roles as well as Independent Consultants (Contract) who would like to work on a mid- to long-term contract basis.

Job Location:

The position is based in Mumbai while remote working may be considered. The role will require extensive travel, primarily within India depending on the client location.
