Continuous Improvement Engineer

About the roleWe are seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer who will be fully dedicated to driving structured problem-solving processes across our organization. This role is responsible for receiving specific problems as input, forming and leading cross-functional resolution teams, and ensuring timely and effective closure. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and analytical skills, with experience in Agriculture or Off-Highway Equipment highly preferred.

Location : Chennai, India

Main accountabilities of the role:

Problem-Solving LeadershipTake ownership of assigned problems and lead them to resolution using structured methodologies (8D, DMAIC, A3).Form and coordinate cross-functional problem-solving teams, ensuring clear roles and accountability.Facilitate root cause analysis and implement robust corrective and preventive actions.Continuous Improvement InitiativesIdentify systemic issues and propose process improvements to prevent recurrence.Support deployment of Lean and Six Sigma principles across operations.Document lessons learned and integrate them into organizational best practices.Stakeholder EngagementCommunicate progress and results to management and relevant stakeholders.Ensure alignment with customer requirements and internal quality standards.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field3-5 years of experience in continuous improvement or problem-solving rolesExperience in Agriculture or Off-Highway Equipment industry is a strong advantage

Skills & Expertise:Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) certification preferredStrong knowledge of tools such as 5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA, SPC, 8DExcellent leadership, facilitation, and analytical skillsStrong communication and stakeholder management abilitiesFamiliarity with APQP, PPAP, and ISO 9001 standards.
