In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that make a difference for our country. We are seeking a Copilot Solutions Engineer with experience supporting U.S.

Federal agencies to design, deploy, and scale Microsoft Copilot and M365 AI solutions in highly regulated environments. This role bridges technical architecture, security, and mission outcomes—partnering closely with federal stakeholders to transform productivity, decision-making, and operations through responsible AI. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Copilot, security & compliance, and data sovereignty Responsibilities Guide federal clients through adoption of Microsoft Copilot through completion of readiness assessments and support of rollout strategies Identify, design, and deploy Copilot solutions in client M365 environmentsTranslate mission and operational requirements into secure, scalable Copilot architectures across M365 including integration with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, Power platform, Entra ID and custom line-of-business systemsAssist to build and configure custom agents, plugins, prompts, and connectors aligned to federal use casesLead technical workshops, demos, and architecture sessions tailored to educate customers on responsible AI, data protection, and adoption best practicesEnsure solutions meet federal security and compliance standards Partner with security teams on data residency, access control, audit logging, and governanceSupport ATO processes and security documentation as requiredCollaborate with program managers, partners, and Microsoft teams to deliver successful outcomesSupport user enablement, prompt engineering best practices, and success measurement Qualifications5+ years experience as a Solutions Engineer, Architect, or Technical Consultant with expertise in a Microsoft 365 environmentHands-on experience deploying/utilizing M365 Copilot and Copilot Studio in a federal environmentWorking knowledge of federal security and compliance frameworks, identity, access management, and data governanceAbility to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical federal stakeholdersExperience with Power Platform and Azure preferredMicrosoft certifications (preferred but not required): M365 Enterprise Administrator; M365 security, compliance, or identity certifications; AI and/or Power Platform certifications U.S. citizenship requiredSecret or higher clearance preferred, but not requiredAbility to work on site as needed in Washington DC #cjPlanet Technologies is the leading provider of Microsoft Consulting Services to public sector and commercial organizations. Planet has significant experience in deploying business intelligence, cloud services, unified communications, and systems management with an emphasis building, deploying, and managing custom solutions that transform the business operations of federal government agencies.

Salaries for Solutions Engineers at Planet Technologies range from $150,000 and $190,000.
