Credit Controller

The Business: This is a well-established and growing organisation within the FMCG sector, known for its strong customer relationships and operational excellence.

You’ll be part of a collaborative team that plays a crucial role in maintaining financial health and supporting business growth. The Role: We are looking for a candidate that can make their mark and maximise cash flow while minimising bad debt.

Here’s how: Manage daily cash allocation, invoicing, credit notes, and EDI processing Produce weekly reporting (including Mars reports) and support month-end activities Proactively chase outstanding payments via phone and email to meet collection targets Monitor and report non-payments to the Credit Manager Release held orders based on risk assessment Handle POD despatches and support key retail accounts Manage dispute resolution processes, logging and tracking debit notes/invoices Process pro-forma payments and manual invoices Maintain accurate pricing input and documentation About You: Previous experience within Credit Control Strong understanding of credit control processes and dispute management Good numeracy and analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data Confident communicator with an assertive yet professional approach Strong IT skills, particularly Excel and finance systems Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload effectively Methodical, detail-oriented, and process-driven Team player with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships Working towards or holding a Credit Control qualification (desirable) If the role and responsibilities sound like a good fit for you, then I’d love to speak to you!
