Robert Half has partnered with a professional services business to recruit for a Credit Controller. Our client is looking for an experienced Credit Controller to take ownership of a varied debtor portfolio and play a key role in improving cashflow performance. This position sits within a collaborative finance function and offers the chance to build relationships across the business while driving consistent credit control standards. **Must have professional services experience** Key Responsibilities Manage your own portfolio of debt, including regular discussions and review meetings with internal stakeholders.
Resolve queries efficiently, escalating issues when required. Apply credit control and debt provisioning policies consistently across all accounts. Maintain an accurate debtor ledger, ensuring minimal adjustments and prompt management of unallocated cash.
Proactively pursue overdue balances and keep senior managers updated on progress. Log all client interactions and updates clearly within internal systems Produce routine reports on aged debt and portfolio performance. Flag accounts requiring escalation, including those that may need to follow a legal recovery route.
Skills & Experience Required Experience within a professional services or similar stakeholder‑focused environment. Solid Excel capability. Confident communicator, able to engage with senior stakeholders and explain financial information clearly.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, motivate and handle sensitive conversations professionally. Proactive approach to problem‑solving and service delivery. Comfortable managing personal workload while working closely with the wider team.
