Credit Controller | Coventry | Permanent | 4 day working week (34 hours) | Salary £30,000 | Hybrid We are recruiting a Credit Controller to join a well-established organisation in Coventry, in a hands on role focused on managing accounts, maintaining accurate records and supporting the timely resolution of outstanding balances. This position offers responsibility for day to day account management, customer communication and consistent case progression within agreed processes. The role suits someone with experience in credit control, debt recovery or arrears management, who is comfortable handling sensitive conversations and working within defined processes and guidelines.
The Company Seymour John are partnering with a well established organisation based in the Coventry region, that is looking to recruit a Credit Controller to join their team. The Opportunity Key responsibilities will include: Own and manage a portfolio of accounts, progressing cases in line with agreed processes and timescales Maintain regular contact to review account status, chase outstanding balances and agree next steps Agree and monitor payment plans, ensuring commitments are followed up promptly Review financial and supporting information to inform account management decisions Take appropriate recovery action within guidelines, escalating cases where required Identify risks early and progress cases without unnecessary delay Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date, audit‑ready records Work in line with internal policies, compliance requirements and professional standards Liaise with internal teams and external parties as needed Contribute to reporting on account activity and progress Personal Profile Experience in credit control, collections, debt recovery or a similar role Exposure to a regulated environment and awareness of FCA regulations (desirable) Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities Confident communicator, comfortable with sensitive or challenging conversations High attention to detail with strong record‑keeping skills Able to assess information, follow processes and escalate where appropriate Professional, reliable and discreet when handling confidential information Comfortable working independently and as part of a team TO APPLY Please contact Joe Woodall at Seymour John Ltd If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy making a measurable impact, we would love to hear from you!
