Wise May is currently recruiting for a Credit Controller on behalf of a leading global law firm, based in Leeds. Working as part of their wider Finance team within a supportive Credit Control team of 7, you will take ownership of your own ledger and play a key role in maintaining effective revenue control, supporting cash flow, and minimising bad debts across the firm. This is a full time, permanent role.
Credit Controller duties and responsibilities: Managing your own ledger and chasing outstanding invoices in a timely and professional manner Building strong working relationships with fee earners and stakeholders to support cash collection Allocating cash and accurately processing payments Monitoring debt levels and escalating issues where appropriate Maintaining accurate records and producing reports as required Supporting wider finance and credit control processes to meet team KPIs and targets Credit Controller key skills and experience required: Proven experience working as a Credit Controller, ideally within a professional services of legal environment Confident liaising with senior stakeholders in a professional and approachable manner Cash allocation and accounts processing experience. Experience of using accounting and practice management software. Strong organisational, time and deadline management skills.
Intermediate Excel skills. Proactive, flexible and approachable to work.
