Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is hiring Remote Customer Service Call Center Agents to support patients and guarantors with account inquiries. - Salary: $15.46–$23.19/hour (typical candidates hired below midpoint)
- Contract Type: Full-Time
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:30 AM–8:00 PM CST
Role Overview
As a Customer Service Call Center Agent, you will handle inbound and outbound calls, review patient account information, resolve inquiries, and secure payments. You’ll work across multiple systems, ensuring timely and professional resolution of patient concerns while maintaining compliance with departmental policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with patients and guarantors via phone or digital channels
- Review account information, perform research, and resolve inquiries
- Document patient interactions and actions taken
- Update insurance and demographic information; request rebills when necessary
- Secure payments using approved methods
- Escalate complaints to appropriate departments when needed
- Create positive patient experiences through empathy and professionalism
- Meet departmental performance metrics for quality and productivity
- Adhere to compliance guidelines and maintain system knowledge
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience (healthcare, hospitality, retail, or client management)
- Ability to spend 90% of the day on the phone uninterrupted
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred
- Previous call center experience, ideally in healthcare
- Familiarity with CRM systems and patient account workflows
