About Role We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics Engineer for a 6-month contract based in our Bengaluru (Omkar Nagar) office. This is a critical role focused on migrating and maturing our data infrastructure within a high-velocity environment. Position Overview Experience: 5 years of relevant experience Location: Bengaluru, Omkar Nagar (On-site, 5 days/week) Duration: 6 Months Core Tech Stack: dbt, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, Python Key Responsibilities Model Migration & Ownership: Execute the end-to-end migration of legacy data models into dbt , ensuring all models are production-ready, documented, and rigorously tested.

Scalable Architecture: Design and maintain a robust data layer in BigQuery tailored for Finance, Lending Ops, and Engineering stakeholders. Stakeholder Empowerment: Develop high-impact dashboards and self-service reporting tools to facilitate autonomous data exploration. Standardization: Establish and enforce data modeling standards and conventions within the Lending data domain.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance and Ops teams to translate complex reporting needs into reliable, reusable data assets. Pipeline Engineering: Utilize Python to build tooling for data transformations, pipeline automation, and workflow efficiency. Agile Execution: Operate within an agile framework—shipping incrementally, gathering feedback, and thriving in a fast-paced, evolving landscape.

Professional Requirements Specialized Expertise: Demonstrated success as an Analytics or Data Engineer with mastery in dbt (refactoring, testing, and documentation). Cloud Proficiency: Advanced hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery . Engineering Rigor: Strong foundation in software engineering best practices, including version control, CI/CD, and peer code reviews.

Architectural Thinking: A deep instinct for data modeling and schema design over simple query execution. Operational Agility: Comfortable with ruthlessly prioritizing tasks in short-cycle agile sprints and utilizing AI-assisted development for delivery acceleration. Regulatory Context: Previous experience navigating regulated financial services environments and data governance requirements.
