Job Description
Job DescriptionOwn and manage end-to-end data pipelines from source systems to Enterprise Data Warehouse (DWH) and Fabric Lakehouse / SQL DWH.Ensure robust ETL/ELT frameworks, data quality checks, reconciliation, and performance optimization.Drive automation of daily, monthly, and regulatory MIS, including IRDA and IIB reports.Ensure adherence to data governance, audit, and compliance standards required for Life Insurance.Lead design, development, and deployment of Power BI dashboards for:
Management & leadership reportingSales, Agency, Bancassurance, RRB, Credit LifeOperations, Renewals, Issuance, Claims, HR
Implement semantic models, optimized DAX, and reusable datasets.Enable one-click regulatory and management reporting and embed dashboards across platforms.Drive migration from legacy reporting (SSRS / Excel-based MIS) to Power BI on Fabric.Manage and mentor a team of MIS Developers / BI Analysts.Plan work allocation, review deliverables, and ensure TAT, accuracy, and stability of MIS.Act as the single point of accountability for MIS delivery to business, compliance, and leadership stakeholders.Coordinate with Data Engineering, Infra, Security, and Business teams.Deep ownership of IRDA regulatory reporting, including issuance, WIP, renewals, channel-wise and product-wise MIS.Strong understanding of Life Insurance processes:
New Business & IssuanceRenewals & PersistencyDistribution Channels (Agency, Banca, RRB, Digital)
Ensure audit readiness, traceability, and data lineage for all regulatory submissions.Lead modernization initiatives using:
Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Pipelines)SQL Server / Azure SQL / Fabric SQL DWH
Optimize queries, indexing, and data models for high-volume MIS workloads.Partner with Infra teams to move away from monolithic reporting architectures and improve scalability.
Desirable :Minimum 3-5 years in a lead or team management roleStrong experience in Life Insurance or BFSI domain (IRDA exposure mandatory)Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
