The Data Governance Analyst will support the Tollway's data governance initiatives.
This role will work closely with the General Manager of Data Governance & Deprecation to implement and maintain data governance policies, standards, and practices that ensure data quality, protection, and compliance across the enterprise.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist in developing and implementing data governance policies, standards, and procedures
- Conduct data quality assessments and develop improvement strategies
- Support the creation and maintenance of data inventories and enterprise information maps
- Collaborate with business units to identify data stewards and clarify data ownership
- Analyze and document data flows, data lineage, and metadata
- Assist in the development and tracking of data governance metrics and KPIs
- Support compliance efforts related to data protection regulations
- Contribute to the creation of data governance training materials and documentation
- Participate in data governance committee meetings and initiatives
Qualifications
Education (Required)
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field
Skills and Experience (Required)
- Two to four years of experience in data analysis, data management, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand terms for non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with data quality and metadata management tools is a plus
