Deputy General Manager Operations

We're Hiring: Head - Operations (Fabrication & Welding)Looking for a seasoned manufacturing leader to drive end-to-end operations of a fabrication facility in a high-impact role.

Role OverviewAs Head - Operations, you will own complete manufacturing performance including production, planning, maintenance, manufacturing engineering, and projects. The role focuses on driving operational excellence, productivity, safety, quality, and cost efficiency.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead fabrication & weld shop operations (laser cutting, bending, robotic welding, machining)Drive production targets, planning, scheduling, and inventory alignmentEnsure strong EHS compliance with a zero-harm safety cultureImprove weld quality, first-pass yield, and reduce rework through process excellenceImplement robust testing standards (destructive & non-destructive)Enhance asset utilization and equipment reliability (MTBF, MTTR, uptime)Drive cost optimization, material yield improvement, and energy efficiency initiativesLead CAPEX projects, automation, and plant upgradesStrengthen manufacturing engineering: process improvements, line balancing, tooling & layout optimizationEnable digital transformation (AI, predictive maintenance, real-time dashboards)Build high-performing teams through training and skill development, especially in welding

Ideal ProfileStrong experience in medium to heavy fabrication & welding environmentsExpertise in managing end-to-end manufacturing operationsExposure to automation, robotic welding, and advanced fabrication technologiesProven track record in productivity improvement, cost optimization, and operational excellenceExperience in industries like Construction Equipment, Commercial Vehicles, Agri Equipment, or Heavy Engineering
