Financial Reporting & Close
- Lead the monthly and quarterly preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards
- Drive period-end closure (month-end and year-end) in ERP, including coordination with cross-functional teams for timely and accurate reporting
- Monitor and ensure proper General Ledger (GL) hygiene, including review of journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments
- Pass and validate audit-related accounting entries in the system
Audit & Compliance
- Act as a key coordinator for statutory audits, addressing auditor queries and providing required data in a timely manner
- Support internal audit and IFC (Internal Financial Controls) reviews by ensuring data readiness and closure of observations
- Assist in fixed asset and inventory audits, including documentation, reconciliations, and variance analysis
Accounting Standards & Technical Areas
- Prepare and maintain workings related to:
- Ind AS 116 (Leases) – lease accounting, ROU assets, and liabilities
- Ind AS 109 (Financial Instruments) – ECL provisioning, classification, and disclosures
- Ensure compliance with evolving accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Annual Reporting & Governance
- Support preparation of the Annual Report, including financial statements, schedules, and disclosures
- Prepare Audit Committee (ACM) pre-reads and presentations, including key financial insights and variance analysis
- Assist in Board meeting presentations, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and executive-level communication
Planning & Analysis
- Assist in the preparation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), including budgeting, forecasting, and variance tracking
- Provide financial data and insights to support business planning and decision-making
Working Capital & Treasury Support
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), including tracking collections, ageing analysis, and follow-ups
- Handle bill discounting arrangements, including documentation, tracking, and coordination with banks
Risk, Insurance & Credit
- Coordinate insurance policy renewals and manage claims processing, ensuring timely settlement
- Support the credit rating process, including data preparation and liaison with rating agencies
Secretarial & Regulatory Support
- Support the Company Secretary (CS) team in:
- CSR reporting and workings
- XBRL tagging and filings
Coordination & Process Management
- Drive monthly book closure follow-ups across departments
- Ensure seamless coordination between finance, audit, operations, and external stakeholders
- Strengthen processes for improved accuracy, control, and efficiency
