Senior DevOps/Container Solutions Engineer Location: Onsite, Hyderabad Client: Global Pharmaceutical Enterprise Level: Senior Role Overview: A leading global pharmaceutical organization is investing heavily in advanced IT platforms to accelerate drug discovery, scientific computing, and global research collaboration. We are seeking a Senior Container Solutions Engineer with deep, hands-on expertise in Kubernetes architecture and enterprise-scale container platform engineering. This role requires expert-level capability in designing, securing, automating, and operating Kubernetes environments across hybrid and multi-cloud ecosystems. Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification is mandatory. Key Responsibilities1. Kubernetes Platform Architecture & Engineering Architect, design, and operate large-scale, production-grade Kubernetes clusters across AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments Lead enterprise Kubernetes strategy, governance, and platform standardization Design high-availability, multi-tenant, and fault-tolerant container platforms Evaluate and implement Kubernetes distributions such as EKS, AKS, OpenShift, or GKE 2. Security & Compliance (DevSecOps Focus) Define and enforce Kubernetes security blueprints and policies Implement container runtime security, image scanning, RBAC, network policies, and secrets management Integrate vulnerability scanning and compliance tools into CI/CD pipelines Ensure adherence to enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements 3. Automation & Infrastructure as Code Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and/or CloudFormation Automate cluster provisioning, scaling, upgrades, and patching Build self-service capabilities for development teams Streamline release management through CI/CD integration 4. Observability & Reliability Engineering Define, measure, and improve SLOs, SLAs, and reliability metrics Implement monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or equivalent Drive incident management, problem management, and root cause analysis practices Optimize performance, scalability, and cost across environments 5.
Cross-Functional Leadership Provide subject-matter expertise to architects, security teams, and DevOps engineers Contribute best practices and lessons learned to internal communities Mentor engineers and promote Kubernetes engineering standards Mandatory Qualifications Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) – Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline 5+ years of overall IT experience 5+ years of hands-on Kubernetes engineering in enterprise production environments 3+ years of multi-cloud experience (AWS and/or Azure) Proven experience designing and operating large-scale, secure Kubernetes platforms Strong Linux/Unix system internals knowledge Deep hands-on experience with: Kubernetes, Docker EKS / AKS / OpenShift / GKE Terraform and/or CloudFormation CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket) Container registries (ECR, ACR, Artifactory) Monitoring & observability stacks Preferred Qualifications AWS and/or Azure cloud certifications Experience in regulated environments (Pharma, Healthcare, BFSI) Expertise in Kubernetes networking (CNI), service mesh, and ingress controllers Strong DevSecOps implementation experience Experience managing hybrid infrastructure across data centers and public cloud Compensation & Benefits Work with a globally recognized pharmaceutical enterprise High-impact role within a strategic transformation initiative Annual performance bonus Health insurance Reimbursable benefits Please submit your updated resume and a brief cover letter to [email protected] as part of the application process.
