Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic/Technician to join a growing team in Columbus! In this role, you will inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain diesel engines and vehicles such as trucks and buses. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with strong mechanical knowledge, problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety and quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections and diagnose issues with engines, brakes, transmissions and steering systems
• Repair or replace faulty components including mechanical and electrical parts
• Complete routine maintenance such as oil changes, fluid checks and tire rotations
• Overhaul and rebuild engines; assist with emission system upgrades
• Conduct safety inspections to ensure compliance with regulations
• Test-drive vehicles after repairs to ensure proper performance
• Maintain accurate records of services, repairs and inspections
• Fabricate and modify parts as needed using various tools and equipment

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and components
• Experience with diagnostic tools and software
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physical tasks (stooping, kneeling, crawling)
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Valid driver's license required
