Director Data Science (Toledo)

A well-established manufacturer is seeking a Data Science Manager in the greater Toledo, Ohio area . The position will drive advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives that inform business strategy and decision-making. This role partners cross-functionally to design experiments, build predictive models, and translate complex data into actionable insights while mentoring a high-performing analytics team.

Key Responsibilities: Lead development of statistical and machine learning models (regression, classification, time series, computer vision) to solve complex business problems Design and execute experiments, simulations, and advanced analyses to evaluate business initiatives and performance Partner with stakeholders to define data requirements, scope projects, and deliver actionable insights Communicate findings and recommendations to leadership, supporting adoption and implementation Mentor and guide data science team members, establishing best practices and analytical standards Candidates Must Have: A Bachelor's degree Strong experience with Python/R/SAS, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) Expertise in machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and statistical methods Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex analytics projects Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into business impact
