Director of Industrial Property Management

Macdonald & Company is exclusively partnered with a growing, entrepreneurial industrial real estate development firm in Atlanta to appoint a Director of Industrial Property Management.

This is a senior leadership role within a vertically integrated platform with an expanding industrial portfolio. The position offers direct interaction with executive leadership and the opportunity to build and institutionalize the property management function within a high-growth development business.

The Opportunity

The Director of Industrial Property Management will lead all operational and financial performance across the industrial portfolio. This individual will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day property operations, driving asset-level performance, managing tenant relationships, and implementing scalable systems and controls, with Yardi serving as the core operating platform.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who combines operational rigor with a strategic mindset and is comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of industrial property management operations across the portfolio
• Oversee operating budgets, forecasting, CAM reconciliations, rent collections, and financial reporting
• Manage and optimize Yardi (including lease administration, reporting, and accounting functions)
• Supervise property management staff and third-party vendors to ensure operational excellence
• Partner with development, asset management, and leasing teams on tenant onboarding, transitions, and stabilization
• Drive tenant retention through proactive communication and issue resolution
• Establish and refine operational processes, controls, and reporting standards
• Provide portfolio-level performance analysis and strategic recommendations to senior leadership

Candidate Profile

• 8+ years of industrial property management experience with leadership responsibility
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and CAM management
• Deep working knowledge of Yardi (Voyager preferred)
• Experience working within a developer or owner-operator platform preferred
• Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a lean environment
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to build systems and take ownership
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
