Director of Maintenance

Facility: Nassau Rehabilitation and Nursing Center
Position: Director of Maintenance
Location: Hempstead, NY
Schedule: Full-Time
Salary: $85,000 – $90,000 annually

We’re seeking a sharp, energetic leader to take charge of Maintenance operations in this nursing facility. This is a management‑level role, but you’re the kind of person who doesn’t wait for someone else when something urgent happens—you’re already handling it.

Whether you come from building operations, property management, hospitality, or hotel facility roles, if you’ve got the instinct, the communication skills, and the drive to be the go‑to person for keeping facilities running right—we want to talk to you.

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee full maintenance for the property
• Train, and manage on‑site maintenance staff
• Replace staff as needed to build and maintain strong teamsHandle urgent issues promptly and decisively.
• Communicate with vendors.
• Conduct walkthroughs and ensure standards are met.

What We’re Looking For:

• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to build, manage, and motivate teams
• Calm under pressure, quick to respond
• Comfortable using basic computer systems for reporting, communication, and task tracking
• Based in NY with a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Hands‑on.
