Our client, a leading, full-service media and marketing organization is seeking a Director, Paid Search & Social to work across a diverse portfolio of clients. This individual will play a key role in driving full‑funnel performance, advancing innovation across biddable channels, and leading a high‑performing team. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who is equally comfortable setting strategy, managing client relationships, and guiding execution across platforms such as Google, Meta, TikTok, and other emerging performance channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead integrated paid search and social strategy across major platforms including Google (Search, YouTube, Performance Max), Microsoft Ads, Meta, TikTok, and other emerging channels
- Manage and mentor a team of buyers and managers, providing ongoing training, support, and performance oversight
- Serve as a senior point of contact for clients, contributing to key meetings, presentations, and quarterly business reviews
- Oversee campaign performance, optimization strategies, and testing roadmaps to drive measurable business outcomes
- Provide strategic guidance on campaign structure, audience targeting, bidding strategies, and budget allocation
- Troubleshoot technical components including tracking, pixels, product feeds, and offline data integrations
- Lead RFP development, partner evaluations, and vendor negotiations
- Contribute to internal thought leadership and POVs on platform innovation, industry trends, and emerging technologies
- Partner cross‑functionally with analytics, strategy, and creative teams to ensure integrated execution
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in a digital media or performance marketing environment with deep expertise in both paid search and paid social
- Proven experience managing large‑scale, performance‑driven campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and major social platforms (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, etc.)
- 3+ years of people management experience, with a track record of developing and leading high‑performing teams
- Strong understanding of automation, bidding strategies, and AI‑driven optimization approaches (e.g., Performance Max, predictive audiences)
- Experience with tracking and measurement frameworks including GA4, Google Tag Manager, and offline conversion tracking
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, with the ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across cross‑functional teams
