Job Summary
As the Director, Product Management, you will lead the development and execution of the product vision and roadmap, owning product strategy, pricing, positioning, and lifecycle management. This role drives market share gains by ensuring products deliver strong customer value and commercial results while enabling sales growth through clear value propositions and go-to-market execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead a 3‑year product strategy aligned with market trends and company growth objectives.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap including platforms, variants, controls, connectivity/IoT, serviceability, and cost/quality improvements.
- Lead Voice of Customer (VOC) initiatives, market analysis, segmentation, and TAM/SAM/SOM assessments.
- Monitor regulatory and standards requirements and translate them into product and go-to-market needs.
- Develop Market Requirement Documents (MRDs) with clear value hypotheses, KPIs, and acceptance criteria.
- Own portfolio-level product P&L including revenue, margin, mix, ASP, and market share.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of Product Managers.
- Represent the company with customers, engineering firms, utilities, and standards bodies.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience teams.
- Own product training content and go-to-market playbooks.
Required Experience
- 8+ years of product management experience within HVAC, hydronics, boilers, or industrial equipment.
- At least 5 years of people leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success launching and managing complex products.
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong commercial acumen including pricing, channel strategy, value selling, and P&L ownership.
- Exceptional executive‑level communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical and data‑driven decision‑making capabilities.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
- MBA preferred.
Travel & Working Environment
- Willingness to travel approximately 25–40% to customers, distributors, trade shows, and project sites.
