Electrical Component Engineer

Looking for:

• Bachelor’s in engineering with minimum 3 to 6 years of experience in Electrical/ Electromechanical component engineering alternate parts component qualification
• Knowledge of BOM Management tools like Silicon Expert and IHS
• Has very good communication skills (written & verbal)
• Excellent organizational, data collection and presentation skills
• Knowledge of Electrical schematic and PCB (Printed Circuit Board) development

Primary Responsibilities:

• Identify and perform Electrical, Electronic and Electromechanical alternate/replacement parts qualification
• Work on Component library management
• Perform Alternate component search and provide a detailed Component comparison report and should be a self-decision maker on component attributes.
• Suggestion of Form Fit Functional alternates for Risk / Sole source or single source components.
• Work closely with cross functional team on electrical Component for executing Problem reports (PR), Change order (CO) etc. .

Mandatory Skills:

• Understanding of end-to-end parameters of Electrical/ Electromechanical components such as Passive, Discrete, Integrated circuits, Connectors, Cables, Fuses, Relays, Switches, RF generators, Sensors, Adapters/Filters, Cable Assemblies and all other PCBA Components etc.
• Review and interpret all component data sheets and evaluate all components for various product applications.
• Experience with PLM, Library management
• Familiar with industry standards such as UL, CE, CSA, IPC, SEMI etc.
• Cross functional team experience would be preferred
• Experience in product manufacturing with be added advantage
