Electrical Design Engineer

A leading Spanish engineering consultancy is delivering one of Europe’s most advanced hyperscale data centres—and they’re looking for an Electrical Design Engineer with the technical depth and on-site coordination skills to drive it forward.

Based full-time on site in Zaragoza, you’ll be the bridge between the design team and construction—solving problems in real time, ensuring design intent is delivered, and making sure nothing gets lost between the drawings and the build.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading on-site coordination of electrical design for a live data centre project.
• Acting as the key link between the head office design team, contractors, and client.
• Reviewing drawings, solving technical issues on site, and ensuring compliance.
• Supporting submittals, RFIs, commissioning readiness, and QA/QC processes.
• Ensuring alignment with Tier III/Tier IV standards, European codes, and client specs.

What You’ll Need

• Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering (or similar).
• 5+ years’ experience in electrical design, with at least one major site-based project.
• Exposure to data centres, pharma, high-tech industrial, or mission-critical sectors.
• Strong knowledge of MEP coordination, grounding, containment, cable routing, and power systems.
• Confident working with AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech or equivalent software.
• Fluent English required; Spanish is a plus but not essential.
• Must have EU work authorisation (e.g., EU passport or right to work in Spain).
