Job Description
Our client, an engineering design and consulting firm, is hiring an experienced Electrical Design Engineer (PE) to lead electrical system design and planning for industrial, commercial, and architectural projects.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with project teams and clients to ensure clear communication and successful project delivery
Prepare drawings, calculations, specifications, and sketches for electrical systems
Perform short circuit studies, fault calculations, and other electrical system analyses
Conduct site visits to collect data on existing facilities and equipment
Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, and other engineering software to produce deliverables
Manage project deadlines with strong organizational skills
Contribute effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced, and diverse work environment
Apply knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including the National Electrical Code (NEC)
Stay proactive in learning new technologies and identifying process improvements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (Master's preferred)
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Ability to obtain NCEES registration
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, electrical design software
Knowledge of NEC codes, electrical standards, and calculations
