The selected candidate will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for [e.g. operating and maintaining or supporting] the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.Open to internal BNH candidates and external candidates.
The selected candidate for this requisition must be available to work any shift and shift determination will be made based on the priority of work at the time the selected candidate is cleared to report to work.Job SummaryThe successful candidate will under general supervision perform Safe, Reliable, and Effective Operations (SREO), of installation and maintenance of test/plant equipment/systems. Pursue and obtain all qualifications as assigned and demonstrate satisfactory progress as measured by two quarterly process assessments based on syllabus completion, body of knowledge testing and tunnel conditions OJT as a PWT Main Drive Operator, 4T Tunnel Operator and 16T Tunnel Operator, start/stop and configure systems (motor/compressor, valves, refrigeration, heaters, driers, coolers) as required.Job Duties:Required to complete and become qualified/certified in the followingQUAL3004 – PWT Main Drive OperatorQUAL3009 – 4T Tunnel OperatorQUAL3003 – 16T Tunnel OperatorMonitor systems healthInitiate appropriate response to alarms/tripsCoordinate and communicate operations with others as necessaryCoordinate with Test/Plant Control Room Operation Engineers, Supervision, Engineering Support and Base UtilitiesDirect and perform a wide variety of technical, mechanical, electrical, and manual work in the Control Room, Testing, Operating, and/or assembly and shop areas of an Engineering Test FacilityChecks out and prepares Plant and Test Facility equipment for operationsPrepares and installs test articlesRemoves test articles after testsInstalls and maintains facility systems, operates test facility, plant equipment, and test article equipment during testsAccomplish maintenance and servicing work as required to place and keep such equipment in operationChecks test articles and installation prior to tests, and assists in testsOperates complex testing equipment, and troubleshoots operating equipment or test articles, and installation in case of malfunction, with a high degree of skillPerform all Electrical duties as assignedUse a wide variety of hand and machine tools, powered equipment, complex measuring and test equipment as required to accomplish the operationsTrain, instruct, and direct other craftsmen(s)It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policyPerform other duties as requiredBasic Qualifications:Educational Equivalent: Must possess High School Diploma or equivalent Specific Knowledge or Experience: Four years of experience as an Electrician, progressive experience in the electrician trade may be substituted for the required experience Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance and the AEDC local area networkCurrent U. S.
