The services of Hays have been retained by our client, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE), to recruit an Electrician, based in Portadown. This organisation has more than 85,000 properties and employs 3,000 members of staff throughout NI.
Response Maintenance Electricians are normally provided with an NIHE vehicle and travel directly from home to their first job undertaking repairs on NIHE properties covered by each of the depots. This role will be expected to cover nighttime and weekend response maintenance call-outs on a rota basis. Call out payments and a standby allowance are available in addition to the annual salary.
Response Maintenance Electricians may occasionally be required to work for a temporary period in other depots due to work pressures. Electrical Health and Safety Testing Electricians are engaged on a 5-year province-wide inspection programme. Electrical Health and Safety Testing Electricians are assigned to Cloughfern Depot for administrative purposes and generally undertake testing of NIHE properties within a geographical area within reasonable travelling distance from their home address.
Testing electricians are normally provided with an NIHE vehicle and travel directly from home to their first job.
️ About the Role
