Embedded Systems Lead Engineer—Industrial Manufacturer (35903)

Base pay range: $140,000.00/yr – $160,000.00/yr

An international industrial manufacturer in the Westland, MI area is seeking an Embedded Systems Lead Engineer to support the company’s new product and system development. Qualified candidates should have a strong background in embedded software development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain embedded software for remote controllers and flight control systems
• Implement and maintain software version control systems
• Record and control changes to software configurations
• Implement user interfaces for interaction with flight control systems
• Use debugging tools and techniques to troubleshoot and resolve software issues
• Conduct tests to ensure software reliability
• Ensure compliance with industry standards in software development
• Design and maintain backend infrastructure for GPS tracking
• Collaborate with engineers to define system architecture and hardware/software interfaces

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar relevant degree
• At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development
• Strong experience with C/C++ programming and real‑time operating systems (RTOS)
• Experience with embedded systems architecture
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work well within a team
