EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT PHYSICIAN

## DescriptionAs an Emergency Room Physician or Adequately Trained MLP at Mayers, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional emergency medical care to our patients. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of emergency medical conditions and injuries, providing critical care in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise and dedication will be essential in ensuring the well-being and recovery of our patients. \*\*Key Responsibilities:\*\* - Provide timely and high-quality emergency medical care to patients presenting with a wide variety of medical conditions and injuries. - Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients. - Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, CT scans, and laboratory work. - Administer necessary medications and treatments. - Collaborate with nursing staff, other physicians, and healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care. - Provide guidance and supervision to nursing staff and other clinical personnel. - Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation. - Adhere to all applicable medical and ethical standards and guidelines. - Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in emergency medicine through continuous education and training. \*\*Qualifications:\*\* \*\*For Emergency Room Physicians:\*\* - Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution. - Board certification in Emergency Medicine or other Board Certification with adequate ER experience. - Current, unrestricted California medical license. - BLS, ACLS, ATLS and PALS certification. - Proven experience working in an emergency room setting.-Able to work independently.\*\*Skills and Abilities:\*\* - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-stress situations. - Empathy and a commitment to providing compassionate care. - Strong problem-solving skills. - Team player and ability to work collaboratively. - Excellent time management and organizational skills. \*\*Benefits: Available for full time employment - Competitive salary. - Comprehensive healthcare benefits package. - Continuing medical education opportunities. - Retirement plan options. - Malpractice insurance coverage. - Generous PTO and paid holidays.
