Emergency Medical Technician-Massena

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for our Emergency Services team in Massena. As an EMT, you will provide high‑quality, compassionate pre‑hospital and inter‑facility emergency medical care to patients of all ages, responding to 911 calls and urgent transport requests as part of a coordinated healthcare network. Working closely with paramedics, nurses, physicians, and other emergency professionals, you will assess patient conditions, perform basic life support interventions, and safely transport patients to appropriate medical facilities while maintaining clear and timely documentation.

Typical responsibilities include conducting rapid patient assessments, obtaining vital signs, managing airways, controlling bleeding, administering oxygen and approved medications within your scope of practice, operating and monitoring medical equipment, and communicating effectively with dispatch, receiving facilities, and the care team. You will drive and operate emergency vehicles safely in accordance with traffic laws and organizational policies, maintain the cleanliness, readiness, and inventory of ambulances and equipment, and follow all infection prevention and safety protocols. Prior experience in emergency medical services, hospital emergency departments, or related healthcare settings is preferred.
