Job Description
Work schedule:Monday to Friday, 8am to 5.15pm. Lunch is any 1 hour & 15 mins period between 1130am to 2pm.Other sites: 8am to 5.30pm. Lunch is any 1-hour period between 1130am to 2pm.Due to the occasional need to speak with night shift team members, start time may be adjusted with supervisor's approval (e.g. start at 12pm and end at 9.30pm to speak with night shift team members) Qualifications and requirements:Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of experience in Employee Relations, Labor Relations, or equivalent, with frequent interaction with company leaders and employees.Good knowledge and sound interpretation of company policies, local labor laws and employment guidelines.Effective communication and influencing skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver persuasive and well-organized ideas in both written and verbal form.Able to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, demanding environment, and appropriately manage conflicts.Proficient in English; other local languages will be advantageous. Responsibilities:Consult, advise and influence Employee Relations (ER) matters including harassment and discrimination, diversity, equality and inclusion, performance management and workforce optimization.As an ER advisor, provide consultation to People Organization counterparts, employees and leadership on people policies, procedures, employment laws, standards, and government regulations.As an ER investigator, conduct workplace investigations in accordance with our global investigation policy and guidelines, and uphold these standards. Respond to employee issues, grievances and disputes in line with our People Values. Drive expedient resolutions, escalate as required, ensure appropriate and quality communication and documentation are in place.Support separations, severances and restructuring activities to ensure compliance with global separation and restructuring processes and local employment regulations.Conduct exit interviews, review and analyze attrition metrics and related data to identify meaningful trends and risk areas, work with People Organization counterparts and business leaders to address issues in support of retention and engagement programs.Additional responsibilities may include supporting site People function related matters, data analysis and reporting, supporting labor audits, corporate activities, crisis management, roadshow events and other duties as assigned.
Designs and administers proactive programs, procedures and plans related to employee relations activities. Provides guidance and training to managers and employees on employee relations issues. Investigates formal employee complaints and recommends the company's response to the employee. Conducts termination interviews and compiles statistical reports and information. Ensures legal requirements are met in terms of employee relations to minimize exposure to liability. May respond to EEOC charges and claims. 3-5 years of experience
