Job Description:
The Engagement Lead serves as the senior accountable leader for successful execution of a complex Navy client engagement. This individual is responsible for overall contract performance, client relationship management, integrated delivery oversight, workforce leadership, and identification of follow-on opportunities that advance client mission outcomes.
The Engagement Lead is the primary interface with client leadership and ensures that all workstreams are aligned to program priorities, contract requirements, quality standards, and measurable operational results. This role requires a leader who combines Navy mission understanding, executive client presence, delivery discipline, and the ability to translate trusted relationships into sustained impact and growth.

Key Responsibilities Client leadershipServe as the primary senior point of contact for Navy client leadershipBuild and sustain trusted relationships with government stakeholders across the engagementProvide strategic advice, issue resolution, and actionable recommendations aligned to mission prioritiesLead executive meetings, status reviews, decision forums, and stakeholder engagements
Delivery and executionOversee execution of all contract tasks, deliverables, and workstreamsEnsure alignment of scope, schedule, staffing, quality, and budget across the engagementEstablish and maintain delivery governance, performance tracking, and escalation mechanismsDrive resolution of complex delivery, stakeholder, and operational issues
Team and workforce leadershipLead a small multidisciplinary team of consultants and SMEsSet expectations for quality, responsiveness, collaboration, and client serviceCoach task leads and develop future leaders across the engagementPartner with recruiting and leadership to ensure the engagement has the right talent mix
Financial and operational managementMonitor contract performance, burn, margin, subcontractor performance, and resource utilizationIdentify risks early and implement mitigation or corrective actionsEnsure compliance with contract requirements, reporting obligations, and internal management expectationsSupport program reviews and executive decision-making with accurate, timely data
Growth and account expansionIdentify follow-on opportunities, adjacent needs, and strategic issues that can be addressed through trusted deliveryPartner with growth and capture teams on on-contract growth, option years, recompete planning, and targeted new workContribute client insight and engagement strategy to proposals and account planningHelp position the firm as a long-term strategic partner to the Navy client Minimum RequirementsCurrent and Active DOD/DOW TS/SCI, willing to consider Top Secret clearances on case by case basis. “SCI eligibility” required.8+ years leading complex Navy programs, engagements, or mission-support initiativesDemonstrated success serving as a senior client-facing leader on high-visibility federal engagementsExperience managing multidisciplinary teams, multiple workstreams, and executive stakeholdersProven ability to deliver high-quality outcomes in dynamic, matrixed environmentsStrong understanding of Navy operations, acquisition, modernization, logistics, readiness, or other relevant mission areasExperience identifying and shaping follow-on work through client trust and performance credibilityExcellent executive communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skillsExperience with contract performance management, staffing strategy, and financial oversightInterest in close engagement and collaboration with our AI and Data Practice teams.Able to work on-site at the Pentagon Monday-Thursday, with occasional trips to Naval Air Station Patuxent River (Pax River) or Indian Head, MD as-needed
Preferred QualificationsDemonstrated expertise in strategy development and organization development at the enterprise level.Experience leading implementation efforts; i.e. Industrial Base, Workforce Management, Organizational Development.
